DIANNE DURAND of Holden is an NASM-certified personal trainer and Studio Cycling instructor at Wachusett Fitness, with a Madd Dogg certification. Dianne credits her lifetime of athletics with her recent ability to beat cancer. Once a competitive runner, Dianne and husband Rick now do their running after their two young daughters.

In addition to offering one-on-one and small group training by appointment, Dianne leads Optimum Performance Training (OPT) on Wednesdays at 8:15 a.m. and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m., Studio Cycling: Easy Rider on Mondays at 4:30 p.m., and Studio Cycling: Lean Rider on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Optimum Performance Training (OPT): Incorporates flexibility, cardiovascular, core, balance, reactive, speed, agility, quickness, and strength in every workout. Easy Rider: A lower intensity ride using light to moderate resistance and cadence, Easy Rider is designed for recovery from a tough workout, or to conserve energy for higher intensity workouts later in the week.

Lean Rider: A fat-burning, metabolism-boosting calorie blast, using moderate resistance and quicker cadence. Lean Rider is designed to increase energy while working in the ideal fat-burning zone.
